Scientology was infiltrated by the intelligence community years ago.

So I have heard.

There is so much information and disinformation out there about them, it is tough to know who or what to believe.

when i was teaching an expository text on the dangers of cults, gurus and personal development courses there was little information

so i decided to to go and watch them recruit and take the e-meter they hone in on people who are alone never in groups and the task

of answering the barrage of questions takes well over an hour which makes the individual more suggestible the outcome of the audit

is never that the person is well and should just leave and go on with their day rather that they should undertake self improvement courses

that an organization like this is allowed to exist and is trumpeted by celebrities because they have money and power is some fucked up shit

Laguna Beach resident Susan Elliott said she's among those whose efforts to combat alleged abuses in the Church of Scientology have been met with spy tactics and harassment at her doorstep.

"I've been followed a million times," said Elliott, 56, who is a computer programmer by trade but was wary to state where her business is located, out of fear that Scientologists would conduct operations there.

Elliott confirmed that she was spied on by Paulien Lombard, a former Scientologist featured in a recent OC Weekly cover story.

Uncle Gabriel don't seem so bad, at first sight anyway. If you can catagorize cultists into good ones and bad ones, I suppose he falls into the "good" category.

I always looked at different youtube videos and internet pages about Scientology, and I get whats going on and who L Ron Hubbard really was, but now I'm reading a book called "Inside Scientology" thats basically just blowing my mind. But Its so weird, I know the whole thing is ridiculous, but Its like when I was in grade 6 and the cops came to my school to tell us all not to do drugs ...they talk and talk about it and the more I heard their stories the more I wanted to do drugs and figure it all out myself. Maybe I'll infiltrate the Scientology church in Toronto and get back to you in a year or so.

Of all the stupidest religions, Scientology must be one of the stupidest (and dangerous) ones. I always see some of them trying to give people fliers with tests to compile to find out if they are depressed or not. I have witnessed a scene with a guy declining and saying "I'm going to work". They went like "if you are going to work, maybe you should do it with peace in your soul". And he answered "no, I should do it with money on my pocket"
