anyways, here's some cheap eats in pgh.

- 'dee's six packs and dog' in regent square: big beer selection. great hotdogs. my fav is the pgh style, with fries, slaw, and cheese on it...so good.

- 'vincents pizza' in forest hills: this is killer heart attack pizza in a total dive that likely violates every health code. it is wonderful

- 'the original hotdog shop' in oakland: the dogs are good, but i go for the fries. 1 serving of fries can feed a family of four

these places are pretty close to the venue:

- 'bloomfield bridge tavern' in bloomfield: cheap polish food in a bar. the polish platter is an experience in eating a tremendous amount of starch

- 'trams' in lawrenceville: super cheap vietnamese. it's this dudes family style cooking so it is not like any other vietnamese food you generally find. byob

- 'thai cusine' in lawrenceville: if you like thai food this place is delicious. they also have a good amount of vegan/veg options if you need that. i love their fried tofu. byob

- 'coca' in lawrenceville: delicious breakfast/ lunch place. the goat cheese stuffed french toast with berries is really something special.

- 'church brew works' in lawrenceville: local brew pub in an old church. good beer and pizza.
