thanks for the link, going to see them on May 6th, can't wait. Only saw them once before at Vans, 30 minute set just isn't enough.
Canada was great, the fans in Vancouver, Calgary, and Edmonton came to rock and hopefully we gave them something worthy. -Deaner

I haven't heard anything of theirs since So Long and Thanks For All The Shoes.I remember thinking when that came out that it might be the farwell cd going by the title. War on Errorism wasn't that great, neither is wolves in wolves clothing. I think they have a new live disc out Owen .."They've actually gotten worse live" or something like that. They don't make it up here too often without it being a vans thing, once was enough of that, 30 minute sets just don't cut it. Full show should be good, this old man will be in the pit throwing little punkers over the top, maybe even squeeze a few nutsacks while I'm doin ti too....rotten lil fucks!

Prairieman wrote: i've seen them around 10 times. hope you realize even with a full show you're proably only gonna get 30 mins of tunes (i'm guessing you only got 15 mins @ the warped tour). they are under the assumption that they're stand up comedians or something and spend half the show talking about goofy shit, they are kind of funny but people ain't buying the tix to hear them talk. i saw them in atlantic city a few years ago and they kept going "here's a song you never heard before and it's not on any albums but were gonna play it anyway"

hope you realize even with a full show you're proably only gonna get 30 mins of tunes (i'm guessing you only got 15 mins @ the warped tour)you are probably right Dirty, but I don't care, the tix were cheap enough, and this is only the second time they have played Edmonton on thier own tour, I was unable to make it the last time. my expectations aren't that high, just wanna have a few brews and throw some kids around. But thanks for the heads up

it'll be a good time for sure, the talking bit just wears thin on me after a while. hopefully they're still perfoming the full 18min version of the
decline, saw that a few years ago, pretty impressive...and 18 straing mins of music

they were great when the songs were about beer and lesbos...politics, not so muchdouble ditto on that. also true is the talking too much between songs, which admittedly is pretty funny alot of the time but sometimes it gets annoying. i just saw them in seattle two weeks ago, they really did kick ass, played a ton of old favorites (the brews!) and it was a really good show. actually managed to get through quite a bit of material. they played the decline, not sure if it was the entire version, i was pretty wasted. |
