A buddy of mine works for an ACE hardware (his family has owned it since it opened about 30 years ago) and drives between the two stores they own frequently. He says he gets stopped by these guys at least twice a week, I've been on the phone with him more than once when it happened.

I just saw a couple of "white-van-speaker" guys get a talking to by a bank cop. Guess they had bothered a bank patron on her way in and she told the on duty cop about it. Hope they got a little billy clubbin'.

3 Velodyne 1250watt HGS 15"

1 Velodyne 1250 watt HGS 10" for the center channel

1 Klipsch center channel dual 6's

2 CW Vintage 12's front channel

2 Bose HG bookshelf center surround

2 Fisher vintage dual 12's rear channel

Everything has it's own power supply. Studio power amps.

Samson 1200 watt to the fronts

carver 120's for the center surround

Samson 170 to each rear and each center surround.

There is NOT a bad seat in the house the system is balanced and sounds great.

And the Jet passing over you sounds fucking awesome.

I bought speakers out of a van once...they weren't awesome quality or anything...prolly on par with Realistic, but they sounded fantastic, and you could crank them really loud. I paid $150 I think. They lasted way longer than an expensive pair of B&Ws I bought.

Good old school 2 Bose 301 speakers & 1 Sony Amp/Receiver purchased in about 1992-3. I get the planes going from side to side, people walking across the room and am sometimes still fooled by knocks at the door & people in the room talking that don't exist.

Music/concert DVDs sound fine too.

My Pride and Joy, My wife comes home the other day. Windows rattling, plaster cracking, 10 minutes left in the movie, the look of horror on her face, her mouth was moving and nothing was coming out.

I am almost there, just some adjustments possibly bigger amps.

i'm still working with the 13 inch magnavox i got from camel cash almost ten years ago. i doubt it will be as enduring as the lung cancer they probably gave me but i've no complaints.

having three small kids has taught me that if i buy anything really nice or expensive, they will most likely end up breaking it.

I think I've got you all beat:

1998-ish Panasonic 27" television set - BAM!!!!!!!!! Not to mention, same set-up in the bedroom - BAM BAM!!!!

I recently sold my surround sound (actually hers) and am looking for a new setup - TV, surround, the full shebang. We are considering wiring our house for speakers, both indoor and outdoor, and joining the 21st century.

As Karm posted, I used to be all about my audio equipment, but over the years, I've become negligent.

I would love to have speakers wired throughout the house. Sirius is great in that I can get that all throughout the house on different radios/stereos on the FM relay. But the whole stereo setup througout the house would be great.

I was talked out of wireless speakers by the bad reviews outweighing the good ones. And some aren't even in STEREO!

I think the drill & wire & splitter/amp route is the way to go.

Hah, I've got those 301's as well as a 1990 Pioneer amp. the amp no longer works in hot weather, but does just fine in the winter.

I'm not investing in new anything until we buy our house. I so desperately need new couches, but why buy new ones if I'm just going to move them and bang them all up next year? Same goes for TV's etc. I can live with a 27" Sony.
