I'm so pissed. I'm from Fayetteville. This is the second time Ween has played there when I've been on the other side of the country without the
means for a trip home. Luckily my brother, my girlfriend's brother, and several of my closest friends were there to enjoy the show.

I tell you one thing, the VENUE selection for this tour so far has been kick ass also. Louisville and Nashville were great places to see Ween, and that
Fayetteville venue looks bad ass.

Yea apparently they built that venue a few years back. I believe its a bit south of town, and it do look IRIE as hell. They closed down Daves on Dickson I
heard and knowing all the music heads there, they had to put up somethin for bands play at....
Where do you live now, Pants?? And Danny, whos your brothers girlfriends brother? 
I might know em. I wonder how many folks turned out for this show..... |

The venue's in the southwest corner of the Northwest Arkansas Mall parking lot in north Fayetteville. It was my first show there and wasn't as bad as I
had hoped. Deaner made one comment about being in a parking lot, but their set list was much better than anything I could have expected.

I've been in Chicago for the last 3 years, and I just moved to Minneapolis.
So, this venue was closer to Johnson AR than anything else, it sounds like. Geez, that was all pig farms when I lived there. If I lived there I would have taken Mickey out on Beaver Lake to hit some stripers. Not strippers, striper. Well, maybe strippers too. |

I moved away for good in '97 or '98. I've been back many times since, and I have some really close friends there.

Yeah, I'm a Fayetteville native (since 85 or so) and this venue is out at the NWA (Northwest Arkansas) mall. It's been a showcase for lots of cheesy
has-beens mostly, such as Randy Travis, The (New) Beach Boys and Ween.
It sucks, as there used to be 2 or 3 great little music clubs in the area where bands used to play (Butthole Surfers, Black Flag, DRI back in the 80s; Modest Mouse, The Microphones, Pinback, Ween in the late 90s/earlier oughts) but now there's really not one stand-out awesome venue at all. |
