I saw the Melvins for the first time in Portland on Friday. What a ROCK night. Walking from the gym to the train, I was drawn to the beer at the Brewer's Fest. Got my cup and tokens, drank a little, then made it to the Wonder Ballroom and partook in an evening of boozy loud ROCK. I was blown away. My last three concerts have been exceptionally fun. Ladyhawk, Parlor Mob, Melvins. This was the only one that was crowded. Good crowd, amazing ROCK. The best moment was when King Buzzo chided the kids for stage diving. He sounds like an old fuddy duddy, but he fuckin ROCKS. The drummers, Dale Crover and Coady Willis, are phenominal. Big Business is also phenominal. Jared Warren is an animal. I drank a lot of good beer, and a Pabst. Here are my pictures. I know, I suck at taking pictures.
