2008 Komen Philadelphia Race for the Cure®

Mother's Day, May 11, 2008, 8:15 AM
Opening Ceremonies: 7:00 AM

Just thought it couldn't hurt to ask if anyone else is running this year~

& if anyone would want to donate anything....even $5.00 or $10.00 (every little bit helps)
to the cause. You can donate by hitting the link in the post below....I think it's easier that
way...just type in my name in the participant area.....

If your life or someone you know has been affected by breast cancer~ it's
a good way to show support & do something to help a good cause.

Last year I didn't even know if I could finish, since I had
only started running a few weeks before the race.....but to
my surprise I finished the 5k in 25:44.6 minutes...coming in
23rd in my age group (40-49), & placed 515 overall.
Hopefully, I'll come in a little sooner this year, but we'll see.

Aw, thanks Trace! Actually, we're all good. For Easter my parents "gave" us money to donate to our charity of choice, so we've got the $$$ covered in a great way. In fact, she's not even doing the transplant walk, just donating

I don't know anything about the dragon boat thing, but I think it's cool. In fact, I'm leaving for a road-trip (work) on Friday and won't be back for a while, so I probably won't even be here for it.

It's going to be a tough one for me.....I have the race the next mornin'....so I have to
take it easy the night before...but I'll be there!

well, I just checked J&P's website & this is what's listed...
although the guys usually hit the stage around
10pm on the average...but who knows! hahaha...it doesn't list
an opening band...but that doesn't mean there isn't one...

I know, you're right....it's so hard to not go all out in the race, but I don't want to pull
any muscles! hahaha....( I'm up to 5 miles at a time now)...so hopefully I'll have enough
umph to finish~

are you coming to the Harford show on Sat. night? I miss dancin' with you sisterbro~

hope you & Trevor are doing well these days~
