I was leaving the next day for a bachelor "party" trip to Mexico with a buddy of mine, so there was no way I could ditch the new girlfriend for this show. Little did I know that she'd end up being my fiance who probably would have loved the show. Juan, I'll be in touch. I really want to have a sit-down with you, but if Dave's playing a few blocks from my house, i should probably go. If I can't make it up there tomorrow, it'll be within a week or so, depending on the Phillies' schedule.

I walked down there and hung out for a while, but I didn't see anyone I knew so I eventually walked home. Also, there was an opening band. Next time.

I'll be at the Independent show in Nov. The last one there was an epic 4 hour ass kicking Hammer of the gods! I've never seen the Indy rock like that(ok, maybe for Ween). Dave Paul Jones singing "Thank You" was priceless.

It's classic Penn: they charge twice as much to hold nice little events to keep the local community out. Yeah johnny, I'm sure it would have been fun, but chonz just got laid off work and I'm waiting for my next paycheck. plus we had no interest in sitting through an opening band. So we went back and partied.
