Yes. That was up there with some of the better shows I've seen--Higher Ground, Welfleet Beachcomber, Science Fair, Somerville, etc. Deaner was playing with satanic intensity. Gener sung the soul outa Billy Joel twice and did some nice improvised mega-phoning on the mollusk. That place was pretty awesome..looked like an old woolworth's from the outside with some strange wicker warrior art things in the store window...but once inside it was small intimate and hardwood floory. Speaking of woolworth's, it was great to hear Freedom of 76 played again, it's been awhile since I've witnessed it live, and Gener nailed it. He also introduced Pork Roll Egg & Cheese as "a song about a Philadelphia meat" and then they played it. Nice to meet some cool people-weeniac, Corey and his girl, and some others. I'm a crisp from the drive back to Boston. Now about to drive down to New Hope for some free dental work.
