Elizabeth Arden Red Door seems to be a big one. Elizabeth Taylor Diamonds collection seems to be popular too. Also, the "timeless" White Shoulders, Charlie, and Wind Song, which can all be found at Rite Aid. I really don't know why it is, but I have a "gift" for being able to spot fragrances. I think what happens is that peoples' sense of smell gets weaker and they choose bold scents and then put on way too much.

That, and some of the most expensive classic, like Channel # 5 and Coco, or Giorgio are VERY overpowering if even a little too much is applied. Oh, and let's not forget that most of the department store brands are sold in gift sets. These grannies might be layering body wash, lotion, and perfume in an already invasive fragrance.
